The Museum Wilhelm Busch – The German Museum for Caricature and the Art of Drawing, is situated at the heart of an English landscape garden.
The foundation of the Wilhelm Busch Society dates back to 1930. As a private institution, with approx. 2000 members, it is the main support of the Wilhelm Busch Museum.
The collection is the most important of its kind.
The Förderverein was founded 22 April 2002. Its founding members were citizens committed to the purpose of the Museum.
The foundation of the collection goes back to the early Sixties. Since then it has developed into a recognized institution of study and research that enjoys national and international fame.
In 1996, the foundation stone for today's Ronald Searle Archive was laid in the Museum Wilhelm Busch.
Items from the collections of the Museum Wilhelm Busch – Deutsches Museum für Karikatur und Zeichenkunst can now be accessed digitally for the first time.
